DLP Members Visit Pyongyang

A delegation from the liberal opposition Democratic Labor Party (DLP) is visiting Pyongyang for five days in an exchange program with North Korea’s Korean Social Democratic Party.

During the visit, the two sides will discuss their roles in implementing the June 15th inter-Korean joint declaration of 2000 and the October fourth summit agreement signed last year.

DLP Chairman Kang Ki-kap said the party’s delegation was leaving for Pyongyang with a heavy sense of responsibility to prevent inter-Korean relations from deteriorating.

The delegation includes Kang and some 20 DLP members.
