South Korean civic activists declared Monday that they will launch a party to fight for environmental causes in March. A preparatory committee member for the "Green Peace Party" said in a press conference at the Seoul Press that they cannot pin any more hope on the corruption-tainted established politics, it is this era's call that civic activists create hope in politics. The committee said that the new party will respect the platform of Green Parties of the World while focusing on grassroots democracy, environmentalism, nonviolence and peace.
