NK Warns Inter-Korean Ties May Collapse

North Korea is claiming that the Lee Myung-bak government has worsened inter-Korean ties by negating past inter-Korean summit declarations.

A group of lawmakers from the Democratic Labor Party (DLP) relayed the North's message upon their return from a visit to the communist nation on Wednesday.

DLP Chairman Kang Ki-kab and his delegation met the Vice President of the North’s parliament, Kim Yong-dae, during their stay in Pyongyang. The North Korean official said inter-Korean ties will collapse if the Seoul government does not change its policies toward Pyongyang.

North Korea also demanded Seoul stop civic groups from spreading anti-North Korean leaflets across the inter-Korean border.

Kang said if Seoul does not change its North Korea policy, it will also shut down the Gaeseong Industrial Complex.
