The Korea Tourism Organization (KTO) and the Korea Health Industry Development Institute held an international medical tourism conference in southern Seoul on Thursday to discuss ways to promote medical tourism.

Officials at the two state-funded agencies said that Korea's advanced medical technology coupled with tourism will help attract more tourists from overseas and that Korea is making timely efforts to promote quality medical tourism programs at the time of global economic woes.

An official from Brunei said that Korea has strength in providing customized medical services.
