Heads of South Korean companies operating at the Gaeseong Industrial Complex will visit the North Korean border city next week.

An official at an association of the companies said Thursday that around 80 representatives of those businesses will visit Gaeseong next Tuesday for a meeting with officials of the industrial park management office.

The group also plans to meet North Korean officials in charge of the inter-Korean joint industrial complex. The South Korean businesspeople will urge North Korea not to shut down the industrial park.

Last week, North Korea announced it will close the inter-Korean border beginning on December 1st, accusing the South Korean government of breaking inter-Korean agreements.

The North's move has unnerved South Korean companies operating at the Gaeseong Industrial Complex.
