NK, Heads of S. Korean Firms to Meet in Gaeseong

North Korea has called on the heads of South Korean firms operating in the Gaeseong Industrial Complex to gather at the industrial park.

The move comes as Pyongyang has threatened to ban border crossings between the two nations starting December first.

Unification Ministry spokesman Kim Ho-nyoun said the chief of the South’s committee responsible for managing the complex, as well as heads of South Korean companies doing business in the industrial park, entered the Gaeseong complex Monday morning.

The North reportedly requested the visit by the South Korean representatives to discuss several issues.

The South’s committee was found to have provided the North, in response to Pyongyang's request, with a list of some 13-hundred South Korean workers stationed at the industrial park.
