An official at the Joint Chiefs of Staff (JCS) said....South Korea and France agreed Friday to share terrorist information to help ensure the safety of the World Cup soccer finals. The agreement came at a meeting between Army Brigadier Gen. Lee Sang-hee, chief of the JCS' strategy planning headquarters, and his French counterpart, Alain Coldefy. The two countries also agreed on a 41-point military exchange accord during the meeting. Under one of the 41 items, France will send two French instructors to Korea's Military Academy next year. A JCS official said...France also agreed to send about 20 military and sports experts to Korea as early as March to help us better prepare for the World Cup. The nation's JCS meeting with France was the first of its kind with a European Union member country. The inter-JCS meeting was proposed by French JCS Chairman Jean-Pierre Andre Kelche when he visited Seoul in March last year.
