Pres. Renews Call for Inter-Korean Dialogue

President Lee Myung-bak on Friday reiterated his call for North Korea to resume inter-Korean dialogue.

The president made the remark at a meeting with key members of the National Unification Advisory Council, adding that his administration is not attempting to reestablish inter-Korean relations out of political motivation.

The president noted that the North will see the South's genuine attitude once it comes to the dialogue table.

He vowed to do his best to lay the foundation for a true reconciliation and a development in inter-Korean relations.

In addition, Lee said that the eventual goal of his administration is to guarantee human rights and a peaceful life for all 70 million Korean people.
