2,000-Year-Old Human Skeleton Discovered in Incheon

A research institute has discovered a two-thousand year old human skeleton on Yeongjong Island in Incheon.

The Korean Institute for Archaeology and Environment said the skeleton is presumed to be that of a female 153 centimeters tall. The bones were found in a rectangular-shaped pit in the form of a grave.

The institute said the skeleton will contribute to ancient anthropological research since there is little anatomical data from ancient times.
