Gov't to Restrict Prescriptions for Pregnant Women

The Korea Food and Drug Administration has announced a list of medicines that pharmacies are no longer allowed to sell to pregnant women.

As early as February next year, hospitals or clinics will be denied insurance coverage if they prescribe any of the 314 banned or restricted medicines to pregnant women for fear of potential side effects, including the risk of damage to the fetus.
