A leading Japanese daily says North Korea is continuing with its nuclear disablement efforts.

The Asahi Shimbun quoted a North Korean official as saying that Pyongyang has no intentions of stopping disablement efforts as China and Russia have continued to provide aid to the communist state in return for nuclear disablement.

According to the paper, the North Korean official clarified that Pyongyang’s disablement will continue as long as energy aid continues to be provided.
