South Korea has played Cuba to a scoreless draw, but still moved on to the quarterfinals of the Gold Cup soccer tournament. At the game played at the Rose Bowl in Pasadena, California, the Koreans controlled the first half, but missed several clear-cut chances. Midfielder Lee Chun-soo missed the best opportunity in the 17th minute, blasting over the bar with only the goalkeeper to beat. In the second half, the Koreans continued to dominate but again wasted some neat approach work with woeful finishing. South Korea finished second in their group behind the United States, and will face Mexico in the next round Sunday.
