A North Korean family of four defected to South Korea on Tuesday night and is under questioning by military authorities.
The Navy said Wednesday that it found the family on a two-ton wooden boat in waters off the western port city of Incheon around 10:30 p.m.
Sources said they entered the South Korean waters three hours after leaving Haeju, Hwanghae Province, and have expressed their intentions to defect to the South.
