NK Reports on Intensified Economic Revival Projects

North Korea has started to stir up the country to focus on the rebuilding of the national economy. Pyongyang reported on its brisk work at its main energy and business plants on the first day of the new year.

North Korea’s Korean Central Broadcasting Station reported on Friday that the Pyongyang Thermal Power Complex, North Korea’s first thermal energy plant, achieved its 2008 energy production plan to achieve 110 percent output.

It also reported on workers blasting into a mountain as the first stage of a mine development project.
