North Korea says it will complete the joint inter-Korean dictionary project regardless of the political situation between the two Koreas.

Scholars of the two Koreas are working to publish a joint Korean-language dictionary.

The North Korean chief of the publication project, Moon Yong-ho, held an interview with Choson Sinbo newspaper, which is published by the pro-North Korea General Association of Korean Residents in Japan.

Moon said the dictionary will contribute to Korean unification.

He said the manuscripts will be written by 2012 for publication the following year.
