'S.Korean Neglect of NK Warnings Could Lead to War'

A North Korean newspaper says South Korea's neglect of Pyongyang’s demands to scrap the West Sea Northern Limit Line and other inter-Korean agreements could lead to a military clash or possibly war.

The Rodong Sinmun, the paper of the North Korean Workers' Party, made note of the recently escalated situation between the Koreas.

In a Sunday editorial entitled 'The Source of Future Trouble Must be Removed,' the paper said the North's warning is necessary to address what it called “hopeless inter-Korean ties.”

The editorial said South Korea's Lee Myung-bak administration is to blame for the worsened relations and must take responsibility for the current state of affairs.

It said that if the South continues to neglect the North's warnings, it will eventually lead to destruction.
