Mourners continue to pay respect to the late Stephen Cardinal Kim Sou-hwan at Myeongdong Cathedral located in downtown Seoul for the third day in a row.

Some 100-thousand people visited the cathedral Tuesday, and 80-thousand on Wednesday as of 4 p.m., with the number of mourners increasing into the evening hours.

Just to enter the main sanctuary where the late cardinal's body lies in state, visitors had to wait three to four hours.

Politicians and religious leaders have also paid visits, including former president Chun Doo-hwan, former Prime Minister Han Myung-sook, chief priest of the Taego Buddhist Order and Senior Pastor Cho Yong-gi of the Yoido Full Gospel Church.
