New Record Set for Movie Watching

A new national record has been set as to who can watch movies for the longest time.

At a tournament held by multiplex chain CJ CGV on Friday, 28-year-old Lee Soo-min and 26-year-old Lee Sang-hoon watched movies nonstop for 68 hours and seven minutes, setting a new national record.

The winners were each awarded two-point-five million won in prize money and a certificate.

The previous record was set in 2005 when the winner watched movies for 66 hours and 41 minutes.

However, this is the first time for the record to be recognized officially by the Korea Record Institute.
