80 S. Koreans at Gaeseong to Come Home Wed.

Some 80 South Korean workers at the inter-Korean Gaeseong Industrial Complex in North Korea will return home on Wednesday via an overland route.

The group has been kept at Gaeseong since the North’s ban last weekend on overland travel between the two Koreas in protest of annual South Korea-U.S. joint military drills.

The Unification Ministry said the group will return to the South on Wednesday following Pyongyang’s reopening of cross-border passage for South Koreans and their vehicles.

The North normalized overland travel between the two Koreas on Tuesday, allowing a total of 474 South Koreans to travel in and out of the Gaeseong industrial park and the Mount Geumgang region over the course of the day.
