Park Kyung-ree's 'The Land' chosen as Korea's favorite novel

A survey said Monday that "the Land", a novel written by Park Kyung-ree, is the favorite novel among Korean people. According to a survey conducted via the Internet from Jan. 25 to Feb. 14 by EBS and Kyobo Book Centre, 1,129 out of 3,843 respondents said they liked Park's "The Land" the most. Cho Jung-rae's "Taebaek Mountains" ranked in second place with 1,002 votes, followed by Cho Se-hee's "The Ball that a Dwarf Shot", Lee Moon-yul's "Our Twisted Hero" and Hwang Sun-won's "A Shower." By generation, teenagers picked Hyun Jin-geon's "A Lucky Day" as their favorite novel while people in their twenties and
thirties liked Cho's "Taebaek Mountains" the most while the over forty crowd liked Park's "The Land" best.
