Skater's Music Album Records High Sales

Thanks to figure skater Kim Yu-na's popularity, an album comprised of background music from her figure skating programs is recording high sales.

The album is made up of 20 background music selections that Kim used in her regular and Gala Show programs.

In the first three months of its release, 50-thousand copies were sold, and it has made the top of the domestic classical music sales chart. Some five thousand copies have been exported to Japan.

The record producer said more orders were coming in from home and aborad as Kim won the 2009 World Figure Skating Championships.

The album includes Nikolai Rimsky-Korsakov’s “Sheherazade” and Camille Saint-Saens’ “Danse Macabre,” which Kim skated to at this year's World Figure Skating Championships.
