KBS crew to produce A/V signals for Athens Olympic Broadcasting

A provisional contract has been signed between the Korea Broadcasting System (KBS) and the Athens Olympic Broadcasting (AOB) to produce the international video and audio signals from archery and Taekwondo venues during the 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens, Greece. The TV network added....a team of 26 people, including producers, engineers and cameramen, will be sent to the venues during the 2004 Olympics, This is the first time a domestic broadcaster was chosen to produce international audio-visual signals for TV and radio coverage of Olympic events held outside Korea. KBS will be using the basic transmission network provided by the Hellenic Telecommunications Organisation (OTE) which links the venues to the International Broadcasting Centre (IBC). AOB would provide the terminal equipment, according to the
memorandum of understanding between the OTE and AOB.
