NK Sends 2,000 New Workers to Gaeseong

North Korea has stationed over two-thousand new employees at the Gaeseong Industrial Complex.

The Unification Ministry said during Thursday's briefing that from January to the eighth of this month, a total of 22-hundred North Korean workers have begun working at the inter-Korean complex. Most of the personnel have been deployed to production companies within the complex.

Specifically, the number of construction workers decreased by around two-thousand as related projects within the complex were suspended this year.

However, the ministry added that the total number of workers at the joint industrial complex remains the same --- about 39-thousand.
