Some 20,000 foreigners to be given suffrage in Korea's elections

Officials said Wednesday some 20,000 foreigners living in South Korea may be given the right to vote, starting with local elections in June, according to election law revisions approved by the parliamentary committee on political reforms. The revisions endorsed by the committee Monday give suffrage to foreigners aged 20 or over who are legal residents.
