North Korea has denied entry of a family reunion delegation from the United States. The delegation consisting of three Korean-Americans had hoped to visit North Korea for temporary reunions with their relatives they have not seen for half a century. The family reunion program ... the first for Korean-American separated families ... was organized by a Korean-American civic group based in Los Angeles. The group's spokesman said the delegation left Los Angeles on January 31st and was waiting for an entry permit in Yenbian China. The refusal of visa has left uncertain the visit of another delegation scheduled for the end of next month. Fifty members are in the second group.
