Korea-Central America consultation will open in Seoul

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade said Sunday...South Korea and Central American nations will hold their fourth consultation session in Seoul Thursday and Friday to discuss political developments and economic cooperation. Vice Minister Kim Hang-kyung will represent South Korea and lead talks with his counterparts from seven Central American countries. The talks started out in 1997 as South Korea's dialogue channel with El Salvador, Guatemala, Costa Rica, Honduras and Nicaragua to seek cooperation in politics, economy, science, technology and culture. Panama and Belize joined in 2000.
