Prosecution May Seek Arrest Warrant for Former Pres. Roh

The Prosecution may seek an arrest warrant for former President Roh Moo-hyun for allegedly receiving a six-million dollar bribe from Taekwang Industry Chairman Park Yeon-cha.

Senior Prosecutor Hong Man-pyo said they will decide whether to seek an arrest warrant for the former president after an internal review next week. The decision is likely to come down next Wednesday, following the holiday weekend.

Meanwhile, the prosecution may summon Roh’s wife, Kwon Yang-suk, for additional questioning after confirming that the former first lady wired hundreds of thousands of dollars and gave hefty amounts of cash to the couple’s children right after receiving one million dollars from Park.
