Buddhist temples across the country held ceremonies and events Saturday to celebrate Buddha’s Birthday.

At the Jogye Temple in Seoul, the top administrator of the Jogye Order of Korean Buddhists joined other Buddhist leaders and some ten thousand followers in a ceremony.

The Most Venerable Jigwan called on people to commiserate with the suffering of their neighbors amid economic difficulty and disease.

Other Buddhist orders includiung Taego, Chentae and Jingak also held ceremonies in celebration.
