30 Pct. of Koreans Listen to Radio Daily

A survey finds that radio remains a powerful form of media, with nearly 30 percent of the population listening daily.

Market research company Trend Monitor and research agency Embrain polled about 1,000 people aged 13 or above. Of them, 889 or 29.5 percent said they listen to the radio every day.

Thirty-seven percent said they listen while driving. Around 75 percent said the biggest merit of radio is that they can tune in while doing other activities.

More than 80 percent said they listen to music on the radio, 24 percent news and current affairs, and 16 percent traffic information.
