The winner of last year’s Nobel Prize for Literature is scheduled to give a lecture Thursday at Ewha Womans University in Seoul.

French novelist Jean-Marie Gustave Le Clezio, a frequent visitor to South Korea, met with local reporters Tuesday.

During the interview, Le Clezio expressed his affection for Korea and its literature, saying that he believes a South Korean writer will surely receive a Nobel Prize for literature soon.

Le Clezio taught for two semesters at Ewha and is currently an honorary professor at the university.

He will be in South Korea until May 28th.
