The Korea Creative Content Agency will hold an exhibition of Korean comics, or “manhwa,” in London to mark their centennial anniversary.

The exhibition titled “Manhwa 100” will be hosted by the Korean Cultural Center in London. The four-day exhibition will continue from Thursday through Sunday as a way of introducing Korean comics to Europe.

Other events will be held including an exhibition of manhwa illustrations done by famous Korean artists and a display of classical art works reinterpreted by 12 manhwa illustrators, including Kim Dong-hwa and Kim Yeong-ok.

Artist Park Cheol-ho will give a clinic Wednesday and Thursday on how to draw comics. Korean films based on manhwa, including “Hello Schoolgirl” and “War of Flowers” will be screened free of charge later in the week.
