Ministry Checks Safety of S.Koreans in NK

In the wake of North Korea's claimed nuclear test Monday morning, the Unification Ministry in Seoul is busy discussing countermeasures and analyzing the effect the test will have on inter-Korean relations.

The ministry will also promptly check on the safety of South Koreans staying at the inter-Korean industrial complex in Gaeseong in the North.

In all, there are one-thousand-47 South Koreans currently at the Gaeseong complex, 43 at the Mount Geumgang resort, and 31 in the capital Pyongyang, for a total of over eleven-hundred South Koreans in North Korea.
