'NK Preparing to Launch ICBM'

South Korea and U.S. intelligence authorities have reportedly detected signs at the Musudan-ri launch site in North Korea that show the North is preparing to launch a Daepodong Two long-range missile.

A Seoul official said Saturday that a long-range missile was spotted on a cargo train while it was at the North’s weapons development institute at Saneum-dong near Pyongyang and that the train appeared to be heading to a launch pad. The official added that Seoul intelligence suspects the North is likely to be preparing to launch an intercontinental ballistic missile (ICBM).

He said Pyongyang could secure launch capability in two weeks.

Intelligence authorities in Seoul and Washington are reportedly closely monitoring the situation.
