Russia's Hermitage Starts Korean Language Service

The State Hermitage Museum in St. Petersburg, Russia now has a Korean language audio tour guide service.

An event celebrating the new Korean language service was attended by Korea's Hanjin Group Chairman Cho Yang-ho and museum director Mikhail Piotrovsky. Korean Air signed a sponsorship deal with the State Hermitage at the museum in 2008.

Founded in 1764 by Catherine the Great, the Hermitage is regarded as one of the world's finest museums, alongside the British Museum and the Louvre in Paris.

Until now guide services to the museum were available only in Russian, English, German, French, Italian and Spanish.

Korean is the first Asian language service.
