Organizers said Monday that some 200 heads of Korean expatriate organizations will convene in Seoul in July to seek a role overseas Koreans would do in the wake of this summer's FIFA World Cup finals. The Overseas Koreans Foundation, an affiliate of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade said....the meeting, the third of its kind, is also aimed at promoting cooperation and a sense of unity between South Korea and Korean communities abroad. The meeting will be held at the Hotel Lotte in downtown Seoul from July 9 through July 12. South Korea and Japan will co-host the World Cup finals from late May to late June.
