Seoul Urges Dialogue on Geumgang Shooting Anniv.

The government has once again expressed its condolences to the bereaved family of a South Korean tourist shot dead at a North Korean resort one day before the first anniversary of the killing.

In a statement issued Friday, the Unification Ministry said Seoul repeatedly proposed conducting on-site investigations into the case and continues to suggest devising measures to prevent a recurrence --- efforts which Pyongyang has thus far disregarded.

South Korea suspended the tour program to the North's Mount Geumgang resort after Park Wang-ja was shot dead by a North Korean military guard at the resort on July eleventh last year.
