President Vyacheslav Nikonov of Russia's Policy Foundation arrived in Seoul Wednesday morning on a five-day visit at the invitation of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade. A ministry official said during his stay in Seoul, Nikonov will meet Vice Foreign Minister Kim Hang-kyung and other senior government officials and Russian experts here to discuss the political situation on the Korean Peninsula and Korea-Russia economic cooperation measures. The foreign ministry has been inviting Russian dignitaries to Korea since 2000 as part of a bilateral cooperation project.
