North Korea claims that inter-Korean dialogue on the Gaeseong Industrial Complex is on the verge of collapse because of South Korea’s insincere attitude.
In a statement, the North's Central Guidance Bureau for Special Zone Development said it doubts whether the inter-Korean working-level meetings can resolve issues related to the Gaeseong complex.
The statement accused South Korea of taking a defiant attitude while insulting the North’s generosity and good faith in the previous four rounds of working-level talks.
The North also threatened to carry out its afforementioned plans regarding the South-North joint business park unless Seoul shows sincerity in future working-level discussions.
The statement was carried by the North's official Korean Central News Agency on Friday.
In Seoul, a Unification Ministry official said that the government has not changed its position to seek stable development of the joint industrial complex. He also urged Pyongyang to quickly release a detained South Korean worker and show sincerity in discussing other pending issues.
