The series of torrential downpours that hit the nation last week were also found to have pounded North Korea.

The Korean Central Broadcasting Station said Monday that Pyongyang saw a combined 234 millimeters of rain last Friday and Saturday.

The report added that for six days starting June ninth, more than 530 millimeters of rain fell on Pyongang, Gangwon Province, while Gimhwa in Hwanghae Province saw nearly 490 millimeters of rain.

The North, however, has yet to release reports of any damages caused by the recent storms.
