Korean Air will expand weekly flights on Seoul-Hanoi route

Korean Air will double its weekly flights to Hanoi, Vietnam, from two to four starting Monday in an effort to accommodate increases in the numbers of passengers due to a recent rush to set up businesses in the Southeast Asian country. The air carrier said the four weekly flights are scheduled for Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays. The air route was suspended in 1998 during the Asian financial crisis but reopened Dec. 18 last year. A Korean Air official said the air carrier decided to expand the number of weekly flights because load factors on the Seoul-Hanoi route reached more than 82 percent in both directions and the Vietnamese government has relaxed its aviation policy.
