The US State Department has made it clear that it welcomes the visit to Pyongyang by South Korean presidential envoy Lim Dong-won and fully supports the resumption of dialogue between the two Koreas. State Department spokesman Licker told reporters Tuesday that inter-Korean dialogue is very important to maintain peace and stability on the peninsula and the US supports the new mood of dialogue. He added that the US will continue its present policies, which advocate resolving problems through dialogue between Pyongyang and Washington.
