The launch of the nation's first space rocket "Naro" will be delayed.
The Ministry of Education, Science and Technology said Tuesday that some "technical issues" must be addressed before the launch can take place. The launch was scheduled to occur August eleventh.
The combustion test for the main booster was successfully completed last week by Russia's Khrunichev State Research and Production Space Center. A ministry official said that in the process of analyzing the test data, scientists found technical issues that need to be clarified.
He said those issues will require more time to resolve, adding the government will discuss details on the technical issues with Russian officials assisting in the launch.
The launch of the Korea Space Launch Vehicle-1 (KSLV-1) has already been delayed five times.
