A delegation from North Korea has arrived in Seoul to mourn late former President Kim Dae-jung.
The six-member delegation arrived at Gimpo Airport in western Seoul at 3 p.m. Friday, about an hour after it left Pyongyang.
The group is led by Kim Ki-nam, a secretary of the North's Workers' Party, and includes Kim Yang-gon, head of the party's United Front Department and a key figure in inter-Korean relations.
Arriving at the airport, the delegation was greeted by Vice Unification Minister Hong Yang-ho and the vice chief of the Kim Dae-jung Peace Center, Jeong Se-hyun. The delegation was immediately transported to the National Assembly to pay tribute at the memorial altar.
The delegation will offer flowers sent by North Korean leader Kim Jong-il and meet with the late president's wife Lee Hee-ho to deliver Kim's condolences.
The Seoul government said the delegation's other schedules will not be disclosed due to security reasons.
The delegation will stay at a hotel in Seoul and return to the North at 2 p.m. Saturday.
