PIFF to see Biggest-ever Participation this Year

The 14th Pusan International Film Festival (PIFF) is expected to be the largest in scale this year, when it opens next month in the southern port city of Busan.

The event’s organizing committee said 355 films from 70 countries will be presented during the nine-day run.

“Good Morning President” by South Korean director Jang Jin will open up the festivities while “The Message" codirected by Chinese directors Chen Kuofu and Gao Qunshu will close the event. The number of world premieres will be 98, also the largest to date for the festival.

The opening ceremony will be held on October 8th at the Suyeong Bay Yacht Marina.
