Officials said Tuesday that South Korea, China, and the United States will conduct a joint investigation into Monday's crash of an Air China passenger jet that left 122 people dead and six others missing. The Construction and Transportation Ministry said crash investigators from the U.S. National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) are scheduled to join the Korean investigation team Wednesday to start a full investigation into determining the cause of the crash. The ministry said the Chinese team will also join the probe. The ministry's announcement came after a meeting with the Chinese investigation team, which consists of 53 aviation experts, as well as Air China and government officials. The Boeing 767-200 jet carrying 166 people crashed Monday morning in bad weather while trying to land at Busan's Gimhae International Airport. Thirty eight people survived the crash though many are listed as critical. The survivors included the pilot and two other crew members.
