Family Reunion Prep Team to Visit NK Monday

South Korea will send a team to the Mount Geumgang resort in North Korea Monday to discuss preparations for upcoming inter-Korean family reunions.

The Unification Ministry said the team of ten government and Red Cross officials will discuss the details of the reunions and lay out working-level preparations, including the establishment of communication lines.

South Korea’s 100 designated participants and 30 companions will arrive at Mount Geumgang on September 26th for a three-day reunion with their North Korean relatives.

Then, on September 29th, 450 South Korean relatives of North Korea’s 100 designated participants will visit the North.
