The government will form a support group charged with assisting the development and management of zones where the two Koreas are engaged in close cooperation.

The Unification Ministry said Tuesday that following the passage of a revised bill on ministry reorganization, the ministry will set up the“inter-Korean cooperation zone support group” to replace the “Gaeseong complex project support group,” whose term expires on October fourth.

The new support group will be of a similar size and have similar functions to the “Gaeseong complex project support group,” which is made up of 25 members.
