The second of two rounds of inter-Korean family reunions will start Tuesday at North Korea’s Geumgang Mountain.

Ninety-nine North Koreans selected by Pyongyang for participation will meet up with 440 of their South Korean family members at the mountain resort.

The South Korean participants arrived in Sokcho on Monday and underwent physical examinations and orientations for their three-day stay in North Korea. They will cross the border into the North around Tuesday at noon.

Collective group reunions and a welcome dinner will be held Tuesday and individual reunions and an outdoor family picnic will be held Wednesday.

The long-lost family members will meet once more on Thursday before the South Koreans return home.

The two sets of reunions, three days apiece, were scheduled just ahead of the Korean Chuseok holidays. The participants of the first round returned to the South on Monday.
