2nd Group Returns Home From Inter-Korean Family Reunions

The two rounds of inter-Korean reunions have ended and South Koreans who took part in the second round have returned home.

Around 3 p.m. on Thursday, 431 participants, including 100-year-old Kim Yu-jung returned via an overland route along the east coast.

Earlier in the morning, they bid farewell to their long-lost North Korean kin during a final meeting at the permanent family reunion center at North Korea’s Mount Geumgang resort.

The family reunions went smoothly. They were the first to be held since October 2007.
