Korean Language Teachers' Convention Opens in Seoul

The first World Korean Language Teachers’ Conference opened in Seoul on Wednesday for a three-day run.

Some 320 educators and officials will participate in the event hosted by Seoul’s Culture Ministry. The event will feature presentations on teaching Korean and the Korean alphabet “Hangeul,” as well as a Hangeul design exhibit and a quiz competition.

The ministry says the event, marking the 563rd Hangeul Day this Friday, is to examine the status of Korean language education across the world and to discuss its future development.
